The health of mother is very important for the child. The first three months of the pregnancy which is called First Trimester Of Pregnancy is very important period. Extra precautions During Pregnancy in first three months have to be ensured so that there is no damage caused to the developing embryo. During this sensitive time, the fetus is developing. All the important organs and the systems of the body are forming during these first three Months Of Pregnancy. Any kind of obstacle triggered by any factor could result in defective child birth. The child could be defective physically and mentally both.

When you are planning to get Pregnant you must quit any of your unhealthy habits such as drinking, smoking or drug abuse. These habits should be quit long before the pregnancy so that there are no traces of these harmful substances in your system. IF you are still into these unhealthy habits then there are chances of your child having heart problem, mental retardation, and facial structures of unusual types. There can be chances of miscarriage during the first trimester if the pregnant woman takes drug during her pregnancy. The precautions during pregnancy in first three months should be taken seriously in order to avoid the following problems in the growing child.

1. Child can have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome if the mother consumes alcohol during pregnancy which results in slow growth, problems in learning etc. and till date there is no cure for this syndrome.

2. Excessive consumption of caffeine drink like tea, coffee, colas, chocolates etc. can also cause syndromes like irregular heartbeats, restlessness, and excess anxiety in the pregnant women.

3. Avoid being in contact of any kind of animal litters as these can have the parasite Toxoplasma which can affect the brain of the developing child.

4. Fruits and vegetables should be washed before using them and the pregnant women should avoid eating the undercooked meat.

5. Food additives are also not at all good for the pregnant women and their developing child. Pregnant women should avoid use of the processed foods, foods with sodium nitrate as these might cause cancer.
