at about 20 weeks into Pregnancy a quad screen with results of 1/244, means what for the mother?

I am 20 weeks Pregnant and i had that ratio in my quad sceen. i opted for amniocentisis and am awaiting results, but looking for comfort. Is there anything anyone can tell me.

That means you have a 1 in 244 chance of having a baby with an abnormality like downs or neural tube defect….Mine came out as 1/89 so yours is not so bad, but amnio is always best to ease your mind… Good Luck!
